Rodrigo Ferrari-Nunes (M.A.), is a sociocultural anthropologist, multi-instrumentalist musician, videographer, creative media producer, and PhD researcher at the University of Aberdeen. Originally from São Paulo, Brazil, he is currently living in Lerwick, Shetland, where he conducts long-term ethnographic fieldwork concentrating on Shetland’s present-day music scenes since 2012.
Rodrigo produced two videos for Back From Beyond in 2013, ‘Lower the Rope’ featuring The Revellers, filmed mainly in Unst, and ‘Lick off the Noup’ featuring Teevliks, filmed in Noss. Rodrigo is a member of the band SpootHawk and co-founder of Contemporary Alternative Productions Shetland (CAP Shetland).
